We have a lovely small herd of Nigerian Dwarf goats that we raise on our mountain top in North Idaho. We breed for quality milk lines, mothering skills, ease of hand milking, and excellent conformation.
We also raise Idaho Pasture Pigs, Polish Tatra Sheepdogs (a rare and wonderful breed of Livestock Guardian Dogs), chickens and ducks.
We believe in natural medicine for all the animals on our farm and will only stray from that in dire circumstances.
Goats: our goats browse in our forest daily; eating conifer trees, birch & maple as well as the abundant wild plants on the forest floor. We feed organic alfalfa hay to all goats and does also get non-gmo barley, peas, oats, flax, and BOSS on the milk stand. We also sometimes offer organic alfalfa pellets. We give our goats free choice minerals & kelp.
Pigs: our pigs eat organic alfalfa hay, scraps from our kitchen, local fruit & veggie scraps and non-gmo barley, peas, oats & flax. Our pigs live in the forest and also consume native plants.
Dogs: our dogs get meat scraps, bones, raw eggs from our chickens & ducks, goat milk and a grain free kibble.

Parasite Protocol: We only deworm using herbs, specific foods, and essential oils. Parasite management is done based off of the animal's condition and the weather/season and is performed on a case-by-case basis. Weight, coat, stool samples, FAMACHA score, and temperament are examples of ways we assess an animal to determine if treatment is necessary.
Vaccination Protocols: No Vaccinations
