Our farm started in Marble Falls, Texas and moved to North Central Arkansas in November 2023.
We raise dairy goat crosses.
Our breeding bucks have been San Clemente, French Alpine, and American Alpine/Nubian cross. Our original breeding doe came from California and was a San Clemente/Alpine cross.
Our goats are a standard breed size and well mannered with human interaction. They are led to pasture every morning by shepherd and their livestock guard dogs. They all lead well on collar and lead rope. The wethers are very athletic and would make amazing pack or cart goats. The dairy goats produce very rich and sweet milk. No goaty taste. On the stantion they are hand milked or machine milked depending on time of year and production needs.
We burdizzo our bucklings between 2 and 3 months of age.
Our herds are raised in pasture and browse with supplemental minerals. We are currently feeding free choice loose Sea-90 and kelp meal.
Our herds are bio secure, closed and tested
Herbal (1)-Conventional (10) 1-10 Scale: 5
Parasite Protocol: We were 100% holistic in Texas, however, moving to Arkansas presented is with many parasite challenges in our herd.
Our current protocol is Valbazen and Cydectin as needed per goat fecal amd FAMACHA scores. We work with an excellent farm vet who supports holistic practices but implements the heavier stuff when necessary.
Vaccination Protocols: No Vaccinations
