Raising beautifully correct, productive, healthy goats for milk and show. Using Natural methods and proven bloodlines we have established a pleasing herd that is constantly being appraised and improved upon.
We dam raise with lots of interaction with kids to keep them friendly, and use herbal teas and essential oils to keep them healthy. I am not opposed to antibiotics if necessary, but rarely have needed them, although I do use dimethox for coccidia prevention most years.
The goats are out on pasture during the months of good weather, and are housed in our old barns during the winter. I group them according to their due date, or age/dry status.
We have been involved in DHI and Linear Appraisal since the beginning, and have been to a few shows over the years, although I'm hoping to make that a higher priority in the future. I'm also planning on learning how to AI this fall so I can increase my options in herdsires as I decrease the number of bucks I care for.
