Farm Management
We’ve owned dogs and goats for nearly two decades, but we've only recently started breeding. We do everything as natural as we can and use herbs, homeopathics, and non gmo feeds.
Our goal for our dogs are amazing family dogs and great first dogs for adults or children, we just had our first litter of puppies the dam is 3/4 cavalier king charles spaniel 1/4 beagle. And the sire is 1/2 pug 1/2 beagle. Their puppies are 37.5% beagle 25% pug and 37.5% cavalier. Both parents are wonderful family dogs, are food motivated and love training. The sire is especially athletic and would excel in agility and dog sports if given the opportunity, unfortunately that's not something we really have in our area. Both parents also have good off and on switches making them wonderful couch buddies as well as hiking buddies.
We are raising the puppies in the puppy culture program minus the vaxx recommendations. Both parents have been raw fed since we got them as puppies and have had only a couple vaccinations from their breeders. So these puppies are first generation naturally reared.
We also are raising nigerian dwarf goats. Mostly registered but we also have some lovely unregistered goats. Our goals for the goats include:
• Bringing quality to the home dairy with quality goats
• Producing hardy, healthy, thriving dairy goats with easy temperaments
• Using holistic healing methods first and foremost
• Excelling mammary systems
• Parasite resistance
• Extended lactations
• Easy keepers that stay well finished
• Elegant but practical conformation
• Easy hand milkers
We aren't fully there yet with all of those points but those are the Goals.
Health testing isn't something we have done yet but we have bought all our goats from clean herds. We use a dry lot but also let the goats graze whenever possible.
We deworm when needed and are not on a schedule. We feed a homemade grain to our milkers and all the goats eat grass hay (no sprays).
Parasite Protocol:
We deworm as needed and use fir meadows DWA and garlic.
Vaccination Protocols: No Vaccinations
